Wedding Magician

HOW CAN HIRING A WEDDING MAGICIAN ENHANCE MY SPECIAL DAY?

One aspect that is often overlooked when planning a wedding is guest entertainment. Whilst you will be busy having your photographs taken, your guests will be eagerly awaiting your return – and attention. This is an ideal time for a wedding magician to mingle amongst your guests, approaching small groups with close up magic, acting as an icebreaker and creating a warm, buzzing atmosphere.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING A MAGICIAN AT MY WEDDING?

When you book a wedding magician, you are not just hiring a guy who does card tricks. You are booking an experienced wedding entertainer who not only knows how to entertain your guests but also how best to compliment your special day by helping everything transition smoothly.

A professional wedding magician knows exactly how to keep your guests laughing, chatting and interacting with each other during the times when not much is going on (such as during the drinks reception and photo call etc).

Another key benefit of having a professional wedding magician is that they can work closely with the wedding coordinator to ensure that your guests are always enjoying themselves whilst the venue staff turn around the room, bring out the food and clear the tables. This can be extremely helpful if the day’s proceedings are running a little behind. Having performed at countless weddings throughout his performing career, Nick is an effective, experienced and easy to work with professional. All that is left for you to do is to relax and enjoy every moment, knowing your wedding entertainment is taken care of and in safe hands.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR A WEDDING MAGICIAN TO PERFORM ON MY WEDDING DAY?

There are many appropriate times for a magician to perform at a wedding. Nick is typically booked to perform close up magic during the drinks reception, during the photo call and/or between courses at the wedding breakfast.

The ideal time for Nick to perform a show is directly after the wedding breakfast, rounding off the speeches and providing a natural transition into the after dinner proceedings such as the cutting of the cake and the first dance.

Of course these are just examples and you may already have a fixed itinerary planned. If so, Nick is always happy to discuss any booking to make sure you get exactly what you want.

WHAT SORT OF TRICKS DOES A WEDDING MAGICIAN PERFORM?

This will vary from magician to magician. In general, most will include card tricks and coin tricks in their close up magic set.

Nick has spent many years perfecting his wedding magic, but what is even more important than the tricks themselves is they way in which he performs them. His engaging personality, quick wit and charming manner will be sure to win over even the most sceptical of spectators and never fails to entertain, intrigue and elate his audience.

HOW MUCH DOES A GOOD WEDDING MAGICIAN COST?

Prices for wedding magicians can vary quite considerably. When it comes to wedding entertainment, you get what you pay for. There is nothing worse than booking an inexperienced and low quality act to come and perform badly at your wedding. This can be embarrassing and uncomfortable for both you and your guests and is ultimately a waste of money.

For a good wedding magician you can expect to pay anything upwards of £500 depending on the type of performance you are booking them to do.

SO HOW DO I KNOW IF A WEDDING MAGICIAN IS ANY GOOD?

You may have already seen a magician and watched their performance at a wedding fair or as a guest at someone else’s wedding. This should be a good indicator of whether or not they’re a good performer. If you have not seen a live performance you should make sure the magician you are considering booking has a professional showreel with a good mix of effects and audience reactions.

You can also check if they are a member of the magic circle
